Joshua Alahira, who is currently a Digital Arts Instructor at the College of Arts, Bowling Green State University, had his M.F.A degree at BGSU and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at Ahmadu Bello University. In his undergraduate degree, he specialized in Graphics design but went further to be proficient in motion graphics, video/Audio editing, and animation.
As a Visual artist, His aim is to give viewers a unique and clear perception and understanding of his works, making it as interactive as possible, both digitally and physically, and for him, using his art to bring the much-needed awareness to our environmental realities, which he believes cannot be overemphasized, is very important, and a great way for him to practice, explore, experiment and innovate the different approaches to solving environmental issues and problems!
Motion Graphics and animation for him is quite important as a creative choice because it uses a form of narrative that captures the attention of the target audience, to tell stories that are both appealing and relevant across all age groups, through effective communication as well as stretching the limits of imagination beyond the unimaginable.
